Dr. Sharon Meyers, EdD, CFRE, is an accomplished Instructor with the College of Professional and Continuing Studies who brings more than 20 years of nonprofit sector leadership to the classroom. As a Certified Fund Raising Executive with executive experience spanning universities, healthcare, K–12 education, religious organizations, and national patient advocacy, Dr. Meyers offers students a well-rounded perspective on what it takes to lead mission-driven organizations successfully. Her professional background encompasses executive leadership, fundraising, and organizational development—expertise that informs every aspect of her teaching.

Dr. Meyers consistently receives high praise from her students, who value her ability to connect theory to practice through real-world examples and applied assignments. Her research and teaching focus on organizational change and leadership, particularly the unique tensions nonprofit leaders face when navigating transformation while maintaining mission integrity and stakeholder trust.

Dr. Meyers' curriculum for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies focuses on nonprofit leadership and management, including the program's first dedicated nonprofit course, PCS 8153: Leading in a Non-Profit Environment. Her courses emphasize applied learning through case studies, practical frameworks, and authentic leadership challenges—all designed to serve as a roadmap students can use from day one throughout their nonprofit careers.
