That includes adults who attended multiple schools, changed majors, stopped out for work or family, or have credits from a mix of community colleges and four-year institutions. In most cases, yes — and more of them than you probably expect. The program accepts up to 60 hours from accredited community colleges and up to 90 hours from accredited four-year universities. MSU evaluates your official transcripts after admission and builds your degree plan around what you already have. Most students are closer to the finish line than they assume. Credits from accredited institutions don't expire — they stay on your transcript regardless of when you earned them. The real question is how they apply to your degree plan now, which is what the transcript evaluation determines. General education coursework tends to transfer cleanly. Courses in fast-changing technical fields may get more scrutiny, but age alone is rarely what prevents a credit from counting.

Courses run in 8-week terms, and most working adults take one to two courses per semester alongside full-time work. Yes. Credits earned in University Studies can stack toward the Master of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership at Mississippi State if you choose to continue. A bachelor's from MSU also positions you well for graduate admission at other institutions. Finishing your undergraduate degree is the foundation — what comes after is up to you.

Yes. Many students use employer tuition assistance or reimbursement to cover part or all of their degree cost. If your employer offers an education benefit, a bachelor's degree program at an accredited research university typically qualifies.
